Allison + Joseph :: St. Joachim Catholic Church and The Hacienda Restaurant Wedding Photography

I love working with new fellow photographers because of the opportunity of meeting new people and experiencing different perspective!  John Pascale made me feel like I was apart of an exclusive Fathers-Photographers club.  We both have are hands full with work and family, but John has the bigger family, like 3 up on me! 🙂  I bow down to you good Sir, I’d loose my mind!

When I met Joseph at his house he was excited, crackin jokes and eager to get the show on the road.  Then I bumped into Allison as she was lining up to walk down the aisle; bubbly and super excited herself.  The feeling in the air was total excitement!  Joseph is a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, so naturally the KoC Color Guard escorted him and his new wife.   When it came time to party, Allison and Joseph turned on the moves and so did all their guest!  Such a fun crowd to be around and photograph!

Classy finish to fantastic day!  Congratulations to Allison and Joseph, I wish you two the very best!  And a big thanks to John for having me shoot with you dude, it was a pleasure!  Be sure to check out Johns blog for his latest work!

Liz + Mark :: Smog Shoppe Wedding Photography

Finally, had the chance to work with my friend Jaemi Suh after meeting him 2 years ago, and I’m glad he had me shoot with him!  The name can be misleading but The Smog Shoppe is a really cool venue in Los Angeles, and I am now a believer!  Liz and Mark were totally from my generation of kids.  I mean even the music made me feel like I was back at a Junior High dance leaning on the wall with all the nerds.    Everything from Ace of Base to Wilson Phillips the hits didn’t stop all night!  Good music, good vibes, good grub and good times!

Congratulations to Liz and Mark, you guys are totally cute and I wish you guys the very best!  And big thanks to Jaemi for having me shoot with him!  Be sure to check out his angle on his blog!

Liz Yoo - Joel,
Thank you so much for being a part of our awesome wedding!!! We are truly blessed to have had both you and Jaemi capture our day for us. Thank you for having attention to detail not only to the venue, but to our emotions. And you can admit it… You never thought Asians could have such great taste in music, huh?!? Hahahaha!! Yours and Jaemi’s unique perspectives combined created an awesome wedding album that I can’t wait to get my hands on. Thanks again Joel and keep in touch!!

Linh + Stanley :: La Valencia Hotel, La Jolla Wedding Photography

Been on a slew of adventures shooting with my buddy Henry Chen, and the fun just doesn’t stop.  Not even for far-off places!  Linh and Stanley were such a super chill couple, kind of the ‘let-the-chips-fall-where-they-may’ kind.  Linh was all smiles while getting ready surrounded by her sisters, aunts, cousins, and mom.  Stanley rolled in smooth with his jacket thrown over his shoulder, took a seat and just relaxed until the ceremonies began.  No pressure kids!  It’s always pleasure shooting with Henry; we shoot, we make faces, and shoot some more.  Good times had by all!

Congratulations to Linh and Stanley and big thanks to Henry for having me tag along!   Check out Henry’s outstanding work on his blog!

Linh Ta - Hi Joe!!

Thanks so much for photographing my wedding with Henry! Your pictures are great! I can’t wait to see more 🙂

Emily + Evans :: Pasadena Westin & 888 Seafood Restaurant Wedding Photography

Such an adorable and reserved couple got married last weekend, and once again, shooting with Mr. Henry Chen!  Familiar places, smiling faces, and beautiful light always makes for a good time shooting!   Yes, Emily and Evans were the quiet type, that is, until their first look where their faces lit up when they saw each other for the first time before exchanging vows under beautiful Pasadena skies on a warm Saturday afternoon.  Just call me “King of Run-On Sentences. ”

Congratulations to Emily and Evans, wishing you guys the very best!  Muchas gracias to my buddy Henry Chen, thanks for having me shoot with you man! Always a pleasure!  Make sure to check out Henry’s blog for this wedding too!
