Sometimes I need to pinch myself just to make sure I’m not daydreaming these awesome weddings I’ve been apart of lately. Aaand to be honest, I was doing a lot of pinching on this wedding that took place in a couple of LA’s historic venues all thanks to my good friend Ralph Alcala who brought me along to second shoot with him. Awesomesauce! When I first met Linda she was getting her hair and makeup done at the Neihule salon in downtown LA, just a couple doors down from the beautiful Cicada and the Biltmore Hotel. Wide open spaces, white decor, relaxing music and champagne. Yes, Linda was getting the royal treatment.
I then walked over to the Biltmore to meet Jose and his groomsmen and the room was buzzing. Champagne was poppin and I got a thorough lesson on the best way to fold a hankie and wear your cuff links with french cuffs. The boys were lookin sharp!
The anticipation builds.
The first look.
Boys, boys, boys. Grabbing some group shots at the beautiful Biltmore hotel.
When you walk into a place like the Cicada you just can’t help but feel like you’re stepping into another time. This place is mint! Sorry, been using the word “mint” after watching Super 8. Awesome movie by the way…
Ralph smoothin out the deets with the newly weds.
Linda and Jose’s first dance was all juicy goop. They were dancing, smiling, singing to eachother, and simply swooning.
OMG, they had a live salsa band and they be jammin! I was really impressed by Linda and Jose’s slick dance floor shuffles!
Yet another awesome time working with my man Ralph! Cool party, gooood music, great locations, ahhhh, good times! Check out Ralph’s blog to see all of his slick work too! Thanks again Ralph, can’t wait to shoot with you again!
